BERP is now piloting the NUS Open-Source Curriculum, a free, competency-based set of 7 course blocks on neglected and underutilized species (NUS), developed in collaboration with a global network of 24+ partner institutions, including 14 African partner universities and global research and academic partners, under the RUFORUM/GFAiR Network, with support from the European Commission.
The curriculum covers production and agronomy, post-harvest and processing, business development, nutrition and health, climate and biodiversity, and policy and food systems, all free and self-paced.
Students, graduate teaching assistants and interested learners outside academic institutions are welcome to enrol. Each completed block earns its own certificate.
